Let's be real here, because we're all human.  We've all looked in the mirror at some point, really disliking the person that was staring back at us.  Every time I look in the mirror and pick apart my body, I remember that little girl that I used to.  That just because I look different than someone else, that doesn't make me less beautiful.  It's a reminder to myself every day, to be a little bit lighter to myself.  Be more kind.  Embrace the body that I do have.  Whether it's stretch marks, cellulite, curves, fat, etc. it doesn't matter, we are all still freaking beautiful.  If for one second you are doubting that, I am here for you. 

We always say to ourselves, "I wish I was as "fat" as I was 10 years ago when I hated my body".  the truth is, we all dislike our bodies in the state they are in.  But really, what we should be doing is embracing what we have, what we are currently embodied in.  It's our sacred spot.  OUR OWN BODY.  No one owns that body other than you, girl.  Love the f*ck out of that!  Because in 5, 10 or 15 years, you're going to look back and say, I wish I was more gentle with myself at that stage, because she was beautiful (and still is). 

...because you are.

Boudoir photography is something SO dang beautiful.  It doesn't have to be "sexy".  It can really just be beauty.  I want you to see the beauty in your body, whether that's something you believe is there or not,

...it is.

I want you to see yourself in a new light, and feel confident in your own skin. My goal when delivering your final gallery of images is to help you realize just how beautiful you truly are, exactly as you are.

Truth is, you’ll never really “be ready”.  Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably had that battle in your head that went a little something like this… 

“Oh, a boudoir session! I’d love to do that.. maybe when I lose 10 pounds.”
“I’m too awkward, I won’t know what to do.”
“I’m too embarrassed.” 
“I don’t know how to pose.”
"I'm SOO shy"
"I'm not "sexy" like that"

If this sounds like you, I get it.  Not one girl has walked in without saying something along these lines.  And to be honest, you’ll never fully be ready.  Boudoir is one of those things you just have to throw yourself into and embrace the experience.  If you keep putting it off, you’ll never take the leap. 

"ONE DAY" or "TODAY"

I promise you, when I say I got you, I got you.  I will show you the back of my camera to show you how great you look.  If you don't want full body, we go for details.  if you want shadows, I will give you shadows.  Remember, you are not just standing there in lingerie smiling at me, it's not like that! We are embracing your body the way that it is!  The things that you DO love about it!.

I guide you every step of the way, so you’ll never feel stuck on what to do. I have an entire shot list I run through for each session, walking you through every single pose the entire time.  I will show you how the poses should look (by enacting them for you) so there's no guess work in it for you. 

And, of course, we laugh.  I promise you, you're not getting all hot and bothered and turned on during this haha it's more like two girlfriends kicking it.  We laugh, we joke, we talk, we hang out! I promise you, it's an experience you will enjoy!

HOW DOES THE BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE WORK? 

the day is about 4-6 hours

We will enter the studio together, and myself and Sophia (our beautiful make up artist will greet you!). You’ll be able to request any specific makeup look with the makeup artist, and she’ll get to work while you get to relax in her makeup chair.  Sophia, myself and you will sit and chat about anything and everything! You are more than welcome to bring a little liquid courage if you need to, but I definitely suggest to keep it to a minimum (as alcohol sometimes causes our faces to go a bit red haha).  But, trust me, everyone that arrives is always nervous. But the prep with hair and make up is a great time to let those nerves out - and feel free to tell us 100 times that you are nervous, it's okay!

2. Outfit Selections

Now, I know lingerie can be PRICEY, and really, it's not something most people wear often, if at all.  So, I’ve put together a gorgeous client closet with tons of staple outfits you’re welcome to wear for your session. We currently have about 50+ pieces, and range from xs to 3xl.  We’ll figure out which outfits make the cut and narrow down all selections, including your own if you brought some!  Don't feel pressured to wear ours!  It's just there in case you need it.  You can try them on and pick the ones that you like best! 

3. Let's Get Started!

Most clients have never done a boudoir session in their life.  Most of the time, people have no idea what to do! You are more than welcome to create a Pinterest board of poses that you like, and we can work together to knock those out of the park! I have a general workflow that each session follows as well! So most of the posing that you see on my pages, are poses that we will work through.  I will physically show you what to do for them! I will explain what to do, and then will show you myself.  I will be on the floor in the same poses you are going to be in so that it is very clear how you are going to pose as well!

4. Lunch Time

By now you’d be hungry after working up a sweat and busting it all out at the studio!  You’ll most likely want to go grab a bite to eat! This is where I sneak away to my office and begin editing your photos for the same day reveal. This usually takes about 1 hour, so enjoy a little break while I get to work! You are welcome to head out and grab something to eat while I edit and then make your way back! 

5. Image Reveal

MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAYYYY!!  You get to see your entire gallery of images after your session!  Crazy, right?  You got it! I edit all of your images and you’ll get to see about 60-100 images THE SAME DAY! They will be edited, but not retouched. I want you to embrace yourself exactly as you are, without any photoshop. If you require any additional retouching OR any specific requests before they go into your album, feel free to let me know! Otherwise, you will be leaving the studio afterwards with comments like “holy sh*t, that was really me?” … I promise.  And yes, is the answer to that one!

6. Product Ordering

We go over the album & product options and get all of your selections. I’ll help you choose your favourite photos to include, and you can decide if you’d like to upgrade after seeing your images. Payment plans for upgrades are ALWAYS available, so if you see something you love but it’s not in the budget, we can set you up for weekly or monthly payments - interest free! I’ll walk you through everything so that you can get everything you desire out of this experience!

7. Orders Placed

Once you leave, I work on any remaining edits/touch-ups, and place the product orders.  Any images that are going into the album will have the digitals sent off shortly after your session.  If your package includes the full digital gallery, those will arrive a few weeks after your session - as I need some time to work through them in depth. We’ll keep you in the loop when your product orders arrive and let you know when they’re ready for pick-up!  If you choose, you can pick them up at my studio OR I can have them dropshipped directly to your house.  This will vary depending on how nosy your partner is (if this is a gift for him/her) 😉

8. Live a Life of Confidence

This is the best part of it all!  After your session is complete and you have received your products, you look back on your images ALL THE DANG TIME and remind yourself just how confident and beautiful you are forever!! So many of our clients come back for a second experience and to get an updated confidence boost!  Think of it as a shot of confidence!  And every time you look at these images, it's another shot and another shot.  You will never regret loving yourself and doing something FOR YOURSELF!  You deserve it, I promise. ♥️

PRINTS AND PRODUCTS 

Let’s face it, how many of us have lost digital images? You get a new computer, your hard drive crashes, you lose the files or accidentally delete them. It happens - more often than not. Printing your images and preserving this empowering time is crucial when it comes to boudoir photography. 

I offer many different products ranging from Albums, Metal Prints, Wall Art, Folio Boxes, Matted Prints, Viewfinders & more. There is also an A-La-Carte option where you can further customize your collection. 

I want to be transparent with you about the costs associated. Boudoir is a luxury experience, therefore the collections are separate to the session fee. Each collection also includes a set number of digital images, so you’ll have the digital options as well.
